With 2018 having officially been laid to rest, it seems about the right time to look back on the year that was. 2018 was in a number of ways a challenging year for Theprp.com, but ultimately also a successful one. Once again a new yearly all-time traffic record was set, besting the record previously set in 2017 by well over a few hundred thousand page views. For a site as relatively small in scope and resources as this one is, to see continued growth is truly humbling.
Looking forward, 2019 marks the 20th anniversary of Theprp.com. While the site existed in other incarnations before I was brought on, it was around June of 1999 that things basically ‘launched’ with a proper web domain name (shoutout to Angelfire,) stepping away from the previous moniker and taking things in a bit of a different direction. I’ve been kicking around a few ideas for the 20th anniversary (maybe the return of some merch?, etc.) but I wouldn’t expect it till closer to the ‘official’ anniversary time-frame.
