Following a short-lived countdown timer, an official announcement has been made for the 2027 return of the ‘Ozzfest‘. The resurrection of that once annual touring festival marks its first incarnation since 2018. Of course, it will also sadly serve as the first ‘Ozzfest‘ since the 2025 passing of its namesake, the late great Ozzy Osbourne.
His family have taken on the role of bringing the festival back next year, with his widow and manager Sharon Osbourne having begun teasing those plans around the start of 2026. It has now officially been confirmed that next year’s incarnation will take place in three countries, including stops in California, Mexico City and surprisingly, Milton Keynes, UK. Those stops include:
07/10 Milton Keynes, UK – The National Bowl
09/11 San Bernardino, CA – Glen Helen Amphitheater
09/18 Mexico City, MEX – Estadio GNP Seguros
The Milton Keynes stop seems to represent a change in plans, after it was previously teased that the event would be returning to Villa Park in Birmingham, UK — the site of the ‘Back To The Beginning‘ live sendoff for Osbourne and Black Sabbath.
The following brief press release was issued in regards to the festival’s plans today, November 05th:
‘OZZFEST, the iconic global touring hard rock music festival launched more than 30 years ago by Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, will return in 2027 with three historic stops: the UK (Milton Keynes), U.S. (San Bernardino, CA) and for the first time ever in Mexico (Mexico City).
“Ozzy was the first to launch his own traveling metal festival,” says Sharon Osbourne, OZZFEST’s co-founder. “And Ozzfest will always remain an important part of Ozzy’s legacy.”
Promoted by Live Nation, the 2027 dates will kick off next summer in the UK (OZZFEST’s spiritual home) Saturday, July 10, 2027 at The National Bowl in Milton Keynes, before returning to the U.S. Saturday, September 11, 2027 at Glen Helen Amphitheater in San Bernardino, CA (where OZZFEST launched in 1996), and the highly anticipated first edition in Mexico City, MX Friday, September 18, 2027, at Estadio GNP Seguros.
The announcement comes off the back of the 30th anniversary of the inaugural OZZFEST in 1996. It will be the first since the passing of the late global rock icon OZZY OSBOURNE and his historic farewell concert “Back to the Beginning” in 2025 and the last OZZFEST, New Year’s Eve 2018 at The Forum in Los Angeles headlined by OZZY. OZZFEST’s 2027 edition promises to keep the flames alive with a lineup curated by Sharon Osbourne. The full line-ups will be revealed in the coming months.’
While the Osbourne family have previously indicated that a headliner for the festival has already been locked in, there was no announcement made regarding who will be playing in today’s announcement. Keeping in theme with Ozzy, ‘early bat’ tickets for these shows will be available starting tomorrow, November 06th at 10:00am local time.
