As initially indicated by Sharon Osbourne, the 2027 resurrection of the once annual ‘Ozzfest‘ event will also be held in the United States. That new confirmation follows the announcement of the fest also taking place in the Birmingham, UK stomping grounds of the festival’s late namesake, Ozzy Osbourne, and his pioneering heavy metal outfit Black Sabbath.
A post shared last month indicated the fest will be hitting Villa Park in Birmingham, UK next year. That venue also holds the distinction of hosting Ozzy‘s and Black Sabbath‘s final live shows as part of last year’s all-star ‘Back To The Beginning‘ tribute, which is due in theaters in October.
A newly shared post made this morning, September 21st, by the official ‘Ozzfest‘ social media account confirms that ‘Ozzfest‘ will also be taking place in the United States. Venues and dates were not disclosed. Recent word from the Osbourne family indicated that the festival will take place in a a single day format, and that a main headliner had been decided upon and will be announced soon.
At the height of its impact, the ‘Ozzfest‘ served as an annual touring music festival, which helped to launch the careers of countless artists. It was last held back in 2018 as a destination festival in Inglewood, CA.
