Burn Eternal have just made their grand unveiling. That new outfit reunites current Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz with Howard Jones, the former singer of the latter platinum-certified metalcore group. Their first single to date has just went up online and is titled “Wounds I’ve Made“. That track also opens the band’s long-awaited self-titled debut album, which Metal Blade Records will be putting that out on February 26th.
“Wounds I’ve Made” features studio drumming from another individual with Killswitch Engage ties: Dan Gluszak of Times Of Grace. Jones said of this track:
“‘Wounds I’ve Made‘ is about both acknowledging mistakes and regrets of the past, while also constantly evolving and moving forward. Sometimes change hurts, but it’s necessary for self-growth and to avoid being stuck in the past. Some relationships aren’t meant to be.”
Dutkiewicz added:
“We are glad to finally release ‘Wounds I’ve Made.’ It’s crazy to think that this was one of the first songs I wrote for this project… six years ago! I really hope you guys dig it.”
