Marilyn Manson‘s planned UK touring this fall has been hit with another call for cancelation. The divisive shock rocker recently faced pushback from a local council in the Bournemouth, UK region to have his planned October 31st show at the Windsor Hall/Bournemouth International Centre in Bournemouth, UK scrapped.

As previously reported, Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Council leader Millie Earl has been asking the aforementioned venue to cancel Manson‘s performance, citing the numerous allegations of sexual assault/misconduct leveled against Manson since 2021. Earl was quoted as saying the show should be scuttled in a bid to, “reinforce the message that violence against women and girls isn’t something that’s acceptable in our community.”

Since 2021, over a dozen women have come forward with disturbing claims against Manson. That wave of complaints largely emerged in the wake of public allegations being made against him by his ex-fiancée Evan Rachel Wood. That series of allegations has resulted in multiple civil lawsuits being filed against him, some of which were settled out of court, while another was voluntarily withdrawn and recanted.

In response, Manson, who denied the various allegations, went on to file and ultimately withdraw a counter-defamation suit he filed against Wood and her associate Ilma Gore. In his original suit he claimed that the pair had essentially orchestrated a campaign of allegations against him from numerous women. Wood disputed those claims, with much of his suit being dismissed before he chosen to drop it.

Local authorities looked into the various allegations, however, they announced this January that they won’t be pursuing charges. Manson still has several legal matters to attend to. See below for a recap of the cases brought against him:

Now, following the aforementioned calls against Manson brought forward by Earl, British MP Siân Berry has made a similar plea for the October 29th opening date of Manson‘s aforementioned UK tour at the Brighton Centre in Brighton, UK to be canceled as well. Per The Argus, a letter Berry sent to the local council stated:

“Many survivors in Brighton and Hove, and organisations supporting them, will have very serious concerns about this booking and its impact on other people visiting the city centre, local residents and the wider community.

Freedom of expression is an important principle that should be defended, including in relation to artists, but there is an obvious risk to community cohesion and the council has separate equalities obligations to foster good relations between people who share protected characteristics and people who do not share them.

The council has a responsibility to take action where there are risks of discrimination, harassment and victimisation.

The level and nature of the accusations against Warner are concerning enough alone, but so too is the message sent out by providing a platform for this individual, at our city’s biggest publicly owned venue, and what this will mean to survivors.”

Berry co-signed the letter alongside the Survivors’ Network, Reclaim The Night Brighton & Hove, The Queery Co-Op, and University of Sussex Students’ Union.

Manson‘s career came to a screeching halt in light of the 2021 allegations being launched against him, with his manager, talent agent and label all dropping him. Manson has since went on to sign with Nuclear Blast and released his 2024 comeback album “One Assassination Under God – Chapter 1“, while also returning to the road last year for his first live performances since 2019.

Manson‘s planned European/UK tour is set to run as follows:
