Jered Threatin, aka Jered Eames, the mastermind behind the group Threatin, has returned with new music. Back in 2018, Threatin gained notoriety for going to great lengths to con his way into a European/UK tour. The extent of that campaign was elaborate, with him and his wife impersonating a label, publicist, booking agency, manager, a fake rock website, and even buying social media likes to book a tour which wound up ending in disaster when no one actually attended. Threatin went on to lose lawsuits filed against him by musicians he deceptively hired for the trek.
Once his scheme was fully exposed, Threatin doubled down on his dubious activities, portraying himself as a cunning mastermind. His attempt at a proper comeback show after clearing the air and gaining infamy for his actions didn’t exactly win him an audience however.
Now, Threatin has released a song dubbed “Die Young“, which he is claimed to have penned and recorded weeks prior to being hospitalized for an unspecified life-threatening illness. The below video/mini-documentary depicts the medical treatment and surgical procedure he claims to have underwent as a result of the illness. The following was offered alongside the video per his wife:
“Due to severe health issues, Jered Threatin has been hospitalized. After years of misdiagnosis, it was discovered that he had a life-threatening illness. Following a series of heart attacks, he underwent an emergency open-heart surgery that left him in a coma.
In a race against his declining health, ‘Die Young‘ was recorded in the weeks leading up to his hospitalization. The new song has been released with a music video / mini-documentary that chronicles his battle with the fatal condition.”
