Considerable progress has been made with Angst Fabrik, the new venture being spearheaded by ex-Fear Factory, etc. bassist/vocalist Christian Olde Wolbers. That project seemingly aims to recapture some of the past glories of Fear Factory. While described as a working title, the current moniker for the project is a German translation of ‘fear factory’ as well.
Per a new post from the project made yesterday, August 26th, writing is underway with fourteen songs in the works. Furthermore, drum tracking for the group’s debut effort is is scheduled to commence in October. It is unclear who will be behind the kit for those sessions.
Those hoping for a reunion of former Fear Factory members shouldn’t get their hopes up too high, as vocalist Burton C. Bell appears to have distanced himself from the project. On top of announcing Angst Fabrik earlier this year, Wolbers also appears to have a new supergroup with members of Korn & Sepultura in the works.
