It seems a new supergroup uniting estranged Korn bassist Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu, ex-Fear Factory, etc. bassist Christian Olde Wolbers (on guitars here) and current Sepultura drummer Greyson Nekrutman is in the works. A newly shared post from Wolbers picturing that trio was shared online today, August 14th. The intrigue didn’t end there however, as Wolbers himself made a comment on the post directly mentioning Cypress Hill vocalist B-Real. That comment read, “@breal we got 2 in the can.”
Wolbers has been known to serve as a live bassist for weed rap legends Cypress Hill. Both he and B-Real were also part of an early 2000s rap-rock project named Kush, which was ultimately scrapped due to record label disputes. That failed endeavor also featured Wolbers‘ then Fear Factory bandmate Raymond Herrera and Deftones guitarist Stephen Carpenter.
Furthering Wolbers‘ ties to the Cypress Hill camp is his active supergroup Powerflo, which among others, finds him paired with Cypress Hill vocalist Sen Dog.
