As the story goes, last week saw Powerman 5000, Ill Niño, (hed)p.e. and The Great Alone announce ‘The Taste Of Armageddon Tour‘, which will be running across the United States this summer. However, that early reveal had an additional artist featured on the bill: multi-platinum nü-metal/alternative rock band Trapt. Given the various controversies surrounding Trapt frontman Chris Taylor Brown, their inclusion on the bill wasn’t well-received and the announcement of the tour was seemingly pulled.
Whether or not a response to backlash or a case of scheduling conflicts, that tour has now been announced with Priest (ex-Ghost) on the bill in place of Trapt. Powerman 5000, Ill Niño, (hed)p.e. will now command the top billing on the run, while The Great Alone will open, with Priest being the second band to perform each night.

Trapt themselves don’t appear to have publicly commented on this lineup change, but last week Chris Taylor Brown did take to social media to comment on how the band have distanced themselves publicly from politics:
“Blessed to have fans that stuck with us through all the 2020 Trump support hate. So close to hitting a million listeners in a week! We were at 994k yesterday, lol. Come on Spotify, let’s get hit that million mark! As soon as Trump won last year, the hate has dialed up. Seems Trump haters need an outlet to bare their frustration, sadly. Trapt has not spoken about anything other than music for years now. Again, thank you to our fans for having our backs through it all! ~CTB”
Trapt themselves are out on the road playing a full band acoustic tour.
