Heavy metal legend Ozzy Osbourne is once again set to go under the knife next week, this time for a major surgery. The 73-year-old metal icon suffered extensive injuries back in a 2019 fall on his way to the bathroom. That tumble saw him dislodge several steel rods which had previously been surgically inserted following a serious 2003 ATV accident he was involved in.
The resulting surgical procedures to correct the damage done from the fall resulted in severed nerves which also altered his sense of balance and left him with persistent nerve damage. Osbourne also suffers from PRKN 2, a form of Parkinson’s disease which he was diagnosed with back in 2003. This past April it was revealed that he had tested positive for COVID-19.
Speaking of her husband’s health on the UK show ‘The Talk‘, his wife Sharon Osbourne said earlier this week that he was set to undergo a “very major operation” this coming Monday, June 13th and that she was flying out to be at his side. She added, “I have to be there, it’s really going to determine the rest of his life.”
