Incubus vocalist Brandon Boyd has joined forces with composer Gregory Rogove to create a score for an upcoming independent World War II sci-fi film titled ‘Unknown Company‘. Per The Hollywood Reporter, Ross Marquand (‘The Walking Dead‘, ‘Invincible‘) is starring in that new film, which is being directed by Vincent Talenti‘ (‘Transformers: War For Cybertron‘).
The following was shared of that film by the above publication, ‘Unknown Company follows a small unit of American soldiers dispatched behind enemy lines in the final days of World War II to recover the wreckage of an unidentified object. What begins as a military mission becomes a confrontation with something beyond their understanding, testing the soldiers’ loyalty to one another and their sense of what is real.’
Boyd said in a statement:
“I had such a great time doing this film score with my ol’ pal Greg Rogove. He and I had made music together in the past and after seeing a rough cut of ‘Unknown Company‘ I knew that this would be the perfect movie — and Greg the perfect partner — to take that leap into writing music for film. I’m a huge horror and sci-fi fan and I immediately felt intuitions about the sounds and moods that needed to accompany this picture. The film is creepy, beautiful and dark and we composed music that meets the film there.”
