“Bring Me To Life“, the 2003 hit that catapulted Evanescence to stardom, has landed an impressive new sales/streaming certification in the United States. That track has just been awarded 11x platinum status by the RIAA as of June 25th, 2026.
This overall new certification also pushes the single past diamond status (10x platinum), as the song’s last official certification from the RIAA accounted for 3x platinum status back in April of 2019. Impressively, this also marks the second diamond-certification for Evanescence to date, with their debut album “Fallen” having achieved that high back in November of 2022. “Bring Me To Life” was launched as the lead single from that record.
Two decades on “Bring Me To Life” remains a staple on rock radio and a perennial fan favorite. It went on to join Spotify‘s 1 billion streams club back in January of 2024. However, while the rap-laced vocals of guest musician Paul McCoy (12 Stones) played a memorable role in the track, vocalist Amy Lee has gone to reveal since that they were not a part of the band’s original vision , instead coming about as a result of label pressure.
*A platinum album/single in the United States represents 1,000,000 units, while gold signifies 500,000 units. Outside of traditional physical/digital sales, the certifications factor in digital streams/downloads with 10 permanent track downloads counting as 1 unit and 1500 on-demand audio/video streams from a particular album also counting as as a unit. 150 streams of a song also equate to a track-equivalent unit.
