Over the years Deftones guitarist Stephen Carpenter has shown a penchant for many things. Among them, additional strings on his guitars, conspiracy theories, and the consumption of massive quantities of cannabis. As seen in the past, he’s even endured multiple rounds in B-Real‘s ‘The Smokebox’. That series of interviews found the aforementioned Cypress Hill rapper regularly blaze out guests well past their personal tolerance levels.
Just in time for the annual weed holiday of 4/20 this year, Kiesel Guitars managed to vividly marry two of the alternative metal icon’s above-mentioned passions together. Not only does their custom illuminated Vader for him sport 8 strings, it also boasts inlaid cannabis leaves and buds, both in the body of the guitar, and the knobs as well.
