Various ex-members of Children Of Bodom will be reuniting onstage at the Tavastia Club in Helsinki, FIN on February 26th for a concert they’ve dubbed ‘A Celebration Of Music‘. A handful of early members of the celebrated Finnish melodic death metal band’s roster will be teaming up for this show, which will not only celebrate the legacy of the group, but also pay tribute to their late vocalist/guitarist Alexi Laiho, who died back in 2020.
Returning Children Of Bodom veterans involved in the show include guitarist/vocalist Alexander Kuoppala, bassist Henkka Seppälä, keyboardist Janne Wirman and drummer Jaska Raatikainen. Lost Society vocalist/guitarist Samy Elbanna will be performing in place of Laiho at that show. Tickets will be on sale this coming Wednesday, October 29th at 09:00am local time.
The band collectively stated of this forthcoming reunion of sorts:
“We want to celebrate the life work of our band and at the same time the musical legacy of our friend and bandmate Alex. The gig will be played for Children Of Bodom at an important Tavastia-club – and at the same time they will answer the fans’ long-standing wish.”
