An officially authorized book telling the history of Finnish melodic death metallers Children Of Bodom is set to be published by Rocket 88 this August. Various former members of the band, as well as their friends and associates, provided an oral history for this book, which reflects on the group’s impressive run that kicked off in 1993 and concluded in 2019.
Author Timo Isoaho spearheaded the project. The band’s former bassist/vocalist Henkka Seppälä, keyboardist/vocalist Janne Wirman, drummer Jaska Raatikainen and guitarist Alexander Kuoppala commenting in a joint statement:
“Since we stopped making music and suffered the tragic loss of our brother Alexi [Laiho, late Children Of Bodom vocalist/guitarist], we’ve been remembering so many great times that we had together, and you can now read about those times in this book. It tells the full history of Children Of Bodom in our own words.”
Pre-orders are available for two separate editions of the book via childrenofbodombook.com. Those who do pre-order early enough are also eligible to have their name printed in an ‘honour roll’ section within it.
