Multi-platinum alternative rockers the Foo Fighters will be back onstage before the year is out. The group curtailed their live activities last year, after their vocalist/guitarist Dave Grohl publicly admitted this past September that he fathered a newborn child outside of his current marriage.

In light of that infidelity, the group cleared their slate of touring and have not been onstage since September 06th of 2024. However, recent months have seen Grohl take to the stage several times, albeit without his Foo Fighters bandmates.

Instead, he linked back up with the surviving members of his previous band Nirvana for a pair of mini live reunions earlier in the year (see here and here.) He also showed up onstage with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra at the annual ‘Coachella‘ festival last month for a pair of Foo Fighters covers, and also took part in a charity concert just over a week afterward.

Today, May 13th, the Foo Fighters revealed what currently stands as their first live performance since Grohl‘s public confession, having signed on to perform at the Singapore Grand Prix on October 04th.

he band aren’t alone in performing at that Formula 1 event, which will be held at the Marina Bay Street Circuit in Marina Bay, Singapore. Other musical performers scheduled include Elton John, G-Dragon, The Smashing Pumpkins, Crowded House and more.
