While Foo Fighters have remained on the bench since their ringleader Dave Grohl revealed last fall that he had newly fathered a child outside of his marriage, Grohl himself has been popping up more frequently live these days. Following a mini-Nirvana reunion this past February, Grohl made another high-profile live appearance last night, April 19th.

The multi-platinum alternative rock star joined forces with conductor Gustavo Dudamel and the Los Angels Philharmonic orchestra for a pair of Foo Fighters covers during yesterday’s stop of the annual ‘Coachella‘ festival in Indio, CA. Grohl led the charge through their collective takes on “The Sky Is A Neighborhood” and “Everlong“. Fan-filmed footage of those proceedings is available below:
