Some turmoil has emerged in the SeeYouSpaceCowboy camp, seemingly most recently stoked by the sasscore band’s newly announced inclusion on an upcoming tour headlined by Dance Gavin Dance.
Certain fans have been accusing the band of hypocrisy in taking on that trek, given Dance Gavin Dance‘s own troubled past with allegations of sexual misconduct against their now former vocalist Tilian Pearson, whom after several months in rehab for substance abuse issues, was welcomed back into the band back in 2022.
Exacerbating the ire directed toward SeeYouSpaceCowboy is their decision to eject Roman Candle from a tour in early 2024 due to a by then fired member of the latter outfit facing allegations of domestic abuse and sexual assault.
Apparently, in the wake of this latest round of criticism and outrage, Sgarbossa has been pondering exiting the group, feeling that her concerns have not been heard. In a pair of posts shared on X tonight, January 14th, Sgarbossa stated:
“Believe me, there is no part of me as an individual that backs this either”
“Probably gonna be leaving SYSC due to a lack of urgency on issues I have been bringing up for a while now. It was fun while it lasted.”

SeeYouSpaceCowboy have since pulled all mentions of their planned tour with Dance Gavin Dance, The Home Team and Dwellings from their social media.
