Recent weeks have seen Disturbed‘s 3x multi-platinum 2015 cover of Simon & Garfunkel 1965 track “The Sound Of Silence” surge on European charts. That rendition’s resurgence comes thanks to a dance remix of the song, which saw a release this past February and was done by Cyril Riley.
The success of that remix has now crossed shores, landing Disturbed their first entry on Billboard‘s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart in the United States. Per Forbes, the group are sitting at #34 on that U.S. chart. As of press time, the remix also holds the #2 spot on iTunes most popular dance songs.
