Crazy Town vocalist Shifty Shellshock has been having a rough time lately it would seem. The band’s performance at Hooligans Live in Jacksonville, NC this past Saturday, April 22nd saw him get combative with venue staff working the sound mid-set.
That situation escalated to the point that Shellshock was seen kicking a monitor off the stage, before apparently being told by venue staff to pick it back up, which he did, albeit aggressively. Shellshock also had a similar erratic performance during the band’s January 27th show at The Canyon in Agoura Hills, CA. Footage of both of those incidents can be found below.
Now comes footage of the aftermath of an alleged physical altercation said to have been perpetrated by Shellshock against one of his bandmates yesterday, April 23rd. The platinum-certified nü-metal band’s current co-vocalist Bobby Reeves (ex-Adema, etc.) was left to front yesterday’s show, which took place at the Boathouse Waterway Bar & Grill in Myrtle Beach, SC. Per those in attendance, Reeves was tasked with taking on all the vocal duties due to Shellshock not arriving until the end of the set.
At one point amid the shaky set, Reeves was seen addressing the crowd after a missed vocal cue, “i’m so mad at fucking Shifty right now, I’m trying hard.” Per the below footage, later that night, Shellshock and Reeves are said to have got into a physical conversation, in which Reeves can be seen sporting a fresh black eye. According to the person who uploaded the footage, they personally saw the physical altercation between the two bandmates.
Shellshock has had a troubled history that has involved a much publicized battle with addiction and went viral earlier this year for a questionable performance of the Crazy Town hit “Butterfly“.
