A legal battle has erupted over the estate of late Crazy Town vocalist Seth “Shifty Shellshock” Binzer. After a long history of substance abuse, the 49-year-old Binzer died in June of 2024 as the result of an accidental overdose of fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine. He had no will in place at the time of his passing.

TMZ report that members of Binzer‘s immediate family have since attempted to gain control of the late rap-rocker’s estate. One of his exes, Tracy Shelor, sought to be named administrator in May of 2025. She had a 17-year-old son, Gage, with Binzer. At the time of submitting her paperwork, Binzer‘s estate was estimated to be worth $140,000.

In July of 2025, Seth‘s adult son Halo Binzer filed his own request to assume control of his father’s estate. However, his valuation came in around $90,500. Tracy opposed Halo‘s attempts to be granted administrator, and made allegations that Halo had been ‘squandering” Seth‘s royalties and “hiding” personal effects.

Halo countered by stating that his father’s estate contained “no tangible personal effects of any value.” He is said to have added that Seth “had a severe substance abuse problem and sold anything of value to support his lifestyle.”

Further adding to the legal proceedings, Jasmine Lennard, a woman whom Seth had a son named Phoenix with, has filed her own legal opposition against Shelor being named administrator. Shelor is said to have disputed Halo‘s valuation of Seth‘s estate, claiming that an unreleased album, two potential documentaries and other potential contracts had not been properly accounted for.

Crazy Town scored a platinum record in the United States back in 2001 with their 1999 debut album “The Gift Of Game“.
