Power Trip Guitarist Blake Ibanez Gives Cryptic Update On The Band’s Future: “The Plan Right Now Is For It To Continue”

Nearly two years on from the sad passing of their vocalist Riley Gale, the surviving members of crossover thrash outfit Power Trip appear to be planning to make their next move. The band’s lead guitarist Blake Ibanez appeared recently on Banger TV (see below,) offering a cryptic update on the group’s apparent future plans.

He stated:

“Got a lot of music, a lot of songs in the tank. So keep your eyes peeled for what that becomes. I think everybody here, especially that enjoyed “Nightmare Logic” will really like it. Next thing. Spent a lot of time working on it the last few years.”

After briefly speaking a bit of a thrash-inspired side project that he has “coming out pretty soon,” he went on to cryptically state:

“People that like all the Power Trip stuff, then they’ll be excited for what’s coming… I can’t say what it is or exactly what it isn’t gonna be. But the plan right now is for it to continue. So that’s all I can really say right now.”

Back in March of 2021, the band gave their first interview since Gale‘s passing and at the time stated, “We do want to continue to play music together; we just are not sure what that looks like at this time.”
