Opeth & Porcupine Tree Supergroup Storm Corrosion To Release Expanded Edition Of Their Debut Album

Storm Corrosion‘s sole self-titled 2012 album is set to receive an expanded reissue later this year in honor of its 10th anniversary. That effort served as a musical collaboration between Steven Wilson, vocalist & multi-instrumentalist of Porcupine Tree and Mikael Åkerfeldt, frontman/guitarist of Opeth.

Wilson spoke of his plans for the coming reissue this past Saturday (May 07th), here’s what he had to say about it:

“It’s exactly 10 years today since Storm Corrosion – my collaboration with Mikael Åkerfeldt – was originally released, still one of my favourites, a strange-beautiful spiritual experience of an album. Look out later this year for an anniversary edition featuring a brand new Dolby Atmos mix, a live version of ‘Drag Ropes’ recorded at the Royal Albert Hall in 2015, and other bonus material. More details soon…”
