Korn’s Recent Cryptic Tease Appears To Be For Their Cover Of “The Devil Went Down To Georgia”

Korn cryptic teaser image which they shared earlier this week appears to have been deciphered. A number of fans managed to figure out that the image (see below) appears to spell out “The Devil Went Down To Georgia“. That may have been an educated guess though, considering Korn frontman Jonathan Davis revealed back in 2018 that the nü-metal pioneers were sitting on previously unreleased covers of The Charlie Daniels Band‘s “The Devil Went Down To Georgia” and Billy Squier‘s “The Stroke“.

Both of those renditions have long been thought to be put aside for a Korn covers album, which the band already had 5 of 6 songs completed for as of May of this year. While it remains to be seen if the covers album will emerge, it seems highly likely that their “The Devil Went Down To Georgia” cover may be imminent—especially in light of the passing of Charlie Daniels himself earlier this month.
