Down Confirmed To Be Celebrating 25th Anniversary Of “NOLA” In 2020


Down will indeed be celebrating the 25th anniversary of their their 1995 adebut album “NOLA” in 2020. The band have newly been confirmed for the 2020 edition of the annual ‘Copenhell‘ festival in Copenhagen, Denmark with the below admat revealing that they will be celebrating that album’s upcoming anniversary. That festival will take place June 17-20th.

The group were also recently announced for the June 20th, 2020 date of the annual ‘Graspop Metal Meeting‘ festival in Dessel, Belgium. They have since been confirmed to be celebrating the 25th anniversary of “NOLA” at that show too. Though The group have been on hiatus of sorts since 2016, largely in the wake of the backlash their frontman Philip H. Anselmo received for his infamous racist outburst at the ‘Dimebash‘ event in January of that year.

Anselmo went on to explain his actions in interviews that followed and publicly apologized for his actions several times.
