After years of estrangement between himself and Korn, the band’s ex-bassist Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu reunited onstage with their guitarist Brian “Head” Welch last night, September 26th. Fieldy stepped down from Korn in 2021, and has since described himself as being ‘retired’ from the band. Back in early 2025, he went so far as to say that he hadn’t been in contact with members of the band since 2019.
This past week saw Fieldy and Welch hanging out together ahead of the grand opening of a new facility launched by Christian collective The Whosoevers. Various members of the Christian metal scene have been had ties to that collective, including members of P.O.D., Korn, Flyleaf, Sevendust and more.
As it turns out, last night’s launch of their new facility in Boise, ID also saw Head and Fieldy back in the saddle together. The pair joined Flyleaf‘s Lacey Sturm onstage. Fieldy and Head also sat in on P.O.D.‘s set for “Boom“, with the classic Korn members also taking part in a cover of Beastie Boys‘ “Sabotage“.
