Incubus Bassist Ben Kenney Says The Band Have Over Four New Singles Completed

0

Incubus frontman Brandon Boyd recently hinted that the group have several new singles up their sleeve for future release over the months to come. In a newly published interview with Billboard.com, the band’s bassist Ben Kenney has revealed that the group have four songs completely tracked, some of which already have music videos shot, with more also in the works. He commented of that:

“We have at least four songs that are completely done and at least one or two others that have videos already and a bunch of other ideas that are floating around that we might try to chip away at when we get back.”

He clarified to the publication that the band will likely continue to release these new songs as standalone singles for the time being:

“We’re just gonna keep popping songs out if we can. We’re just gonna figure out the way to get our music into people’s hands over the next couple months and hopefully just keep grooving and touring.

We have our own studio now, and we love to record and explore and experiment. It’s just a great situation. But we don’t want to get stacked up in a studio making an album. We have to adapt our process ’cause the albums themselves don’t actually make as big a splash as they used to.”

The band began their new series of singles releases this past August with the release of “Into The Summer“—a song which Kenney described to Billboard as being his own ode to Duran Duran bassist John Taylor.
