Los Angeles Band Threatin Accused Of Faking Fans, Likes, Ticket Sales, Etc. Amid Disastrous European/UK Tour

NME are running an interesting story on the Los Angeles band Threatin, who have been accused by multiple venues in Europe/UK of essentially faking their career online to get an overseas tour booked this month that no one has been attending.

Numerous venues have publicly slammed the band for apparently lying about advance ticket sales, alleging that 100s of tickets have been sold with single digit attendance actually taking place. There’s also allegations that the group purchased their Facebook likes, doctored YouTube footage, paid for commenters, faked a booking agency and more.

It’s a truly bizarre tale that you can dig into over at NME. With the story having gone wide, Threatin‘s apparent mastermind, Jered Threatin. appears to have pulled his social media profiles.
