Public Celebration Of Life For Vinnie Paul Available To Stream, Phil Anselmo Appeared Via Video


The public celebration of life for late HELLYEAH, ex-Pantera/Damageplan drummer Vinnie Paul that was held today, July 01st, at The Bomb Factory in Dallas, TX was livestreamed across the internet and can be viewed below. Among those offering tribute via a video presentation was Vinnie‘s former Pantera bandmate, Phil Anselmo. Vinnie and Anselmo had an estranged relationship that lasted over a decade, originating around the demise of Pantera back in 2003.

Appearing via a previously recorded video at the celebration, Anselmo kept it brief, offering “Vince, always have love in my heart for you, man. Rest in peace.” Numerous friends and family reflected on their time spent with Vinnie during the celebration, both in person and via video. Vinnie died on June 22nd, 2018 at the age of 54. His cause of death has yet to be revealed. He was laid to rest beside his brother, Pantera guitarist Dimebag Darrell Abbott, and his mother at the Moore Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Arlington, TX yesterday, June 30th.
