Sevendust Dedicate “Angel’s Son” Performance To Fallen Family Member, Bring Out Special Guest

Sevendust‘s recent performances of their track “Angel’s Son” have been particularly moving, having been dedicated to the recent passing frontman Lajon Witherspoon‘s grandfather. During the band’s recent set in Albuquerque, NM this past Sunday, April 22nd, their performance of the track took on a more familial nature, with a woman Witherspoon identified as ‘his sister from Australia’ being brought onstage to help perform the track.

Angel’s Son” of course has origins in tragedy, having first emerged via the “Strait Up” compilation back in 2000, then serving as a tribute to late Snot frontman Lynn Strait. Sevendust are currently out touring (get the dates here) on their new album “All I See Is War“, which will be released on May 11th through Rise Records.
