Ministry frontman Al Jourgensen has stayed true to his word and has now entered an unspecified rehab facility to receive treatment for his alcoholism. The following message was posted on the bands Facebook regarding that:
“Dear Ministry Fans Worldwide…Your Uncle Al has successfully entered rehab for alcohol addiction. We are so proud of him for his courage in this and Al would like to thank all of you for your kindness love & support you’ve shown since making his decision to get help!”
Update – February 04th 1:36pm:
Jourgensen apparently was going out with a bang as it has since been revealed he entered the rehab facility with a .33 blood alcohol level. For reference, Wikipedia lists the following symptoms for a BAC of .30-.39: severe central nervous system depression, unconsciousness, possibility of death.
His wife Angelina posted on Jourgensen‘s Facebook earlier today (February 04th):
“Good Morning Alien Nation! Al asked me to post updates for you here every so often. Al made it into rehab yesterday…he went straight into Medical Detox. His blood alcohol level was .33 so he’s being supervised 24/7 during his detox by doctors and nurses. I just want to give you a quick check-in will write more after I get myself together. Thank you ALL of you so much for your love and support – YOU had a major part in Al making his decision to get help – I love you for that… xoxox Angelina”
