TMZ.com are running a report that Evanescence singer Amy Lee has filed suit against the bands longtime label home, Wind-Up Records. According to the report, she claims the label sabotaged the group by, in TMZ‘s words: “replacing its promoters with a bunch of idiots who ended up torpedoing the group with lame ideas.” The suit also is said to allege that the label has withheld payment of $1.5 million dollars in royalties. All of the involved parties appear to have remained quiet on the matter so far.

The band have had a history of legal troubles, having previously filed suit against their former manager back in 2005. That suit saw Lee and the group sue their then manager Dennis Rider for professional negligence, breach of fiduciary duty and sexual harassment, among other things. Meanwhile, ex-guitarist Ben Moody has himself been the target of a suit by his management due to unpaid commissions.
