Canadian power metal band The Scepter staged a concert recently at an Ottawa, ON hospital for 27-year-old metalhead Tim Berry and more. Berry, who faces significant medical challenges, had dreamed of being able to experience a heavy metal concert, but has been medically unable to. Per CTV, This led hospital staff at Bruyère Health in Ottawa, ON to reach out and put together this concert, bringing the show directly to Berry.

Local venue Dominion Tavern assisted in getting the show together, booking The Scepter for the show, which was staged for free in a board room at the health facility. Staff at the hospital dressed Berry up for the occasion, painting his nails and donning in him in a requisite metal shirt. Several other patients at the facility with health challenges also witnessed the set.

The Scepter‘s guitarist Josh Collins described the set as an emotional moment, remarking, “we were happy to have our sunglasses on.” Bruyère Health clinical chaplain Roshene Lawson was quoted as saying, “I had nurses coming up to me after and hugging me and tearing up and saying, ‘I’m so glad Tim got to have this.'”
