According to this event listing, the Deftones will be performing their albums “Around The Fur” and “Diamond Eyes” in their entirety at their April 15 show at the Crystal Ballroom in Portland, OR.
As previously reported, the band are readying a vinyl pressing of their aforementioned 1997 outing “Around The Fur” for a May 17th release date.

Hmmmm…I dont know how I feel about this. I was thinking about getting tickets, but now I’m not so sure (and the Saturday show is sold out. Fuck!). I like both of these albums a lot, but I like songs off of their other albums too. I dont just wanna hear new songs and ATF. What about Adrenaline (my favorite album) songs!? No Bored!? No Engine #9?! Im still probably going to go, but its kinda lame.
When they played Vancouver a few years back they only played Adrenaline, and Around the Fur. So sick!
Fucking lucky. Probably their best album, and their best album since White Pony. Fucking jealous.
I’m jealous as fuck of Portland. ATF is a personal favorite and I want to assume that Damone will be played. I’ve seen Deftones more times than I can count and I’ve caught some rarities, but I have never been lucky enough to hear that one live.
I already have tickets to this show AND the next night. Portland gets 2 shows! Woo Hoo!

@ApeDosMil, Hey, man. I moved to Portland 4 years ago from Nashville, TN and as a fellow ex-Southerner living here, What do you think of the scene?? I love the shit out of this town, but the scene kills me. For instance, I’ve been to the last 3 shows that Trap Them have played here and i dont think either show had more than 10 people there. The same goes for when Coliseum and Burning Love played here last Summer. Maybe 15 people. If I was back in Nashville, those would have been sold out shows.

They should do this the whole tour, not just in bum-fuck Oregon! Who gives a shit about Oregon??!! I think its a good idea, but to do it for just one show is dumb!
I got to see them play all of Around The Fur a few years back and it was amazing. Although, being able to see ATF and Diamond Eyes played front to back in one night would be epic. I’m debating leaving Tahoe in the morning and driving to Portland to see this show…. HMmmmmm.

I miss bojangles and chick fil a more than anything, The scene here is pretty weak for sure. My drummer went to all three of those trap them shows. Prolly the only dude in the world with a trap them tattoo. Our band has been doing pretty well so far, I feel if we were in a different city, we would be a lot bigger who knows.
We went to converge a few months ago and it was packed, however a lot of the Deathwish esqe bands don’t draw well out here.
THEY LIED!!! They opened with the song “Diamond Eyes” and then started playing “Birthmarks” and I lost my shit! They played a ton of songs off of all their albums. I will admit I was a little bummed to not hear “Mascara”, but it was cool to hear a bunch of Adrenaline and White Pony songs that I wasnt expecting…
