Korn have surprise released a new track titled “Reward The Scars” in collaboration with the upcoming ‘Lord Of Hatred‘ expansion pack (due out April 28th) for the 2023 action role-playing video game ‘Diablo IV‘. This track marks the first new music from the band in some five years, and according to them, was written with the game in mind.
The pioneering nü-metal outfit worked with producer Nick Raskulinecz (Deftones, Evanescence) on this track, — a man they last worked with on their 2019 album “The Nothing“. As for pairing with a video game, Korn frontman Jonathan Davis is known to be an avid gamer, though it’s unclear if is a fan of the long-running ‘Diablo‘ series.
This track arrives online just days ahead of the group’s return to the stage, with their first show since last October scheduled to go down this Saturday, April 25th, as part of the return of the ‘Sick New World‘ festival in Las Vegas, NV. Their live schedule at the moment runs as follows:
