    • Sounds like Gavin singing with Interpol. Sorta. Not great, though certainly not as bad as I was expecting. Sounded like it could have been a CWA b-side.

    • wow, this is so bland. i even grew to like the blander songs on their last album, but this is so ignorable that it’s just not going to happen.

    • you guys are crazy, the song’s awesome. They go a different direction with every album. I had a feeling the album was going to sound this way, and I’m ok with it. It’s one song, the rest of the album could be different, but with Dan Nakamura producing I expected something poppy.

This is not the type of song that really got me into Dredg. It’s definately the pop / rock side of Dredg – thus sounds kind of generic.Think U2 would absolutely be overjoyed if they came up with a song like this after the drivel they mostly come out with these days though. Also get the Interpol sound comparison’s, although with a singer who actually sounds like he’s at least slightly interested in what he’s singing about. Not Gavin’s most convincing performance though.Hope the rest of the album isn’t like this – danceable post-punk revival type sound. That sound is going through a slow death, although still with it’s followers.

Will this track get attention from the general media to be played along side tracks like the Killers & Kings of Leon etc.Without the backing of a Major label to hype it I doubt it – would love Dredg to at least get a little more attention. Will this track get them that though ??????

Little flat upon first listen, not as bad the 2nd. I’m wondering- Did Dino forget how to slay at the drums, or did Dan replace him?

    • Song is awesome. I like the direction they took. It’s catchy and beautiful. And the sound isn’t all that different from their last couple of albums.

First of all, there is no way that this is a final mix. Second, I’m holding hope that this song is merely the “Information” of this record. (Pink Floppy Dicks)

No matter what all you music nazi’s say, I like this song. It’s a little straight ahead for them, but I enjoy the poppy aspect of Dredg. You guys need to stop fucking hating on everything.

I like this song. I normally hate listening to “singles” and such that the band releases before their CD comes out. I’m a big picture sorta person and I normally like the flow between songs. But I found myself humming it to myself after listening for the 2nd time. I can’t wait for Pink Floppy Dicks…

It’d be awesome if they put pink floppy dicks as a hidden song title the songs not bad I don’t mind it and completely mixed itd be better

    • Anyone who is familiar with Dan Nakamura knows exactly what this album going to sound like. It’s going to be dark-poppy Dredg. I’m glad there are bands around like Dredg that switch it up, and try new things instead of worrying about selling units. You haven’t heard he last of the Leitotif, El Cielo-ish Dredg. Some people were upset after Catch Without Arms came out, but then they released the last album and it was more like the older stuff. I like every album, some more than others, but you can’t deny they are true artists and whatever they put out will still be better than 95% of the cookie-cutter shit you hear today,

    • jay… you summed up Dredg perfectly. It is a bit more poppy than i wanted. But if i wanted to hear some more songs that sounded like Leitmotif…. i will throw Leitmotif into the ol disc player.

I love all 4 albums of theirs. but this new song is the worst song I’ve heard so far. hopefully the rest of Pink Floppy Dicks will be better and this is more of a transition song to a bigger picture.
