Deftones Tap Far Guitarist To Mix “Diamond Eyes” B-Sides

Far guitarist Shaun Lopez has revealed that he is currently overseeing the mixing of some Deftones b-side tracks for a future release. The band previously worked with Lopez on their 2006 outing, “Saturday Night Wrist“. No word yet on when or where the songs in question will surface. The Deftones will release their new album “Diamond Eyes” through Warner on May 04th.

    • See…Chino understands BT. He named their last record Saturday Night Wrist for goodness-gracious-sake. Anyway, Shaun has the midas touch, so I expect these b-sides will be svelte and figure-hugging like a dress on Beth Ditto.

Shawn LoLo is cool, his band after Far (The Revolution Smile) had a sick ass unreleased album and then Fred Durst put his hands on it and ruined a good band. The record I am talking about is almost non-existant, the cover has two hotel beds and a lamp in the middle, I think there is a person sitting on one of the beds (cant remember cuz a friend of mine owns it, he mysteriously found it at a local record store sometime around 2002)

    • That album is definitely good LocoThunders. It’s called We Are In This Alone. Most of the songs got reworked and ended up on Above The Noise. They sent that album out free to people on their mailing list, since they had to go back and record again after signing to Geffen. I assume so anyway. I got a copy via mail and never paid a dime. What swell guys. Thanks Shaun!
