Experience Clarify That They Have Parted Ways With Brady Ebert: "What He Did Is F*cked Up"

Experience, the until recently, fledgling new hardcore band featuring ex-Turnstile/The S.E.T. guitarist Brady Ebert, have issued an additional statement clarifying his status in the group. Ebert is currently in custody facing charges of attempted second-degree attempted murder and first-degree assault for a violent March 29th, 2026 incident involving the father of Turnstile vocalist Brendan Yates. Ebert is alleged to have intentionally run over the 79-year-old in a car after a heated discussion, breaking the elder Yates‘ leg.

After being fired from The S.E.T. in February over behavioral concerns, Ebert went on to announce his new band Experience just weeks afterward. In the wake of Ebert‘s recent arrest, Experience issued a somewhat vague statement earlier this week on April 06th to address Ebert‘s actions, it read:

“We want to address what’s been circulating this week.

What happened involving Brady is serious and deeply upsetting. Our hearts are with everyone affected. We don’t take any of this lightly.

At the same time, we’ve made the decision to continue moving forward with our release.

Our 12 song EP Stay Present was built around a simple idea facing what’s in front of you without running from it.

The record is split into four parts called movements

Reaction is impulse fast immediate
Control is where space shows up and decisions take over
Weight is pressure carried without noise
Awareness is clarity while still in motion

Every song lives in the present tense. No past no future just choices happening in real time. There’s no villain in this record. The struggle is distraction. The goal is awareness.

We’re still releasing the project as planned this June.

Experience

Today, April 10th, Experience followed up with an additional statement, which makes clear that Ebert is no longer a member of the band. That statement read:

“We want to follow up on our last post because we know it left some questions.
There’s a difference between acknowledging what Brady meant to us and excusing what happened. What he did is fucked up. Plain and simple.

This situation has been heavy and hard to process. We’ve been struggling to even find the words for it. We spent months building this record together, putting everything into it, and then one decision changed everything.

Brady is no longer a member of this band.

We also want to be clear that we didn’t want to make any public statement about that without him knowing first. Right now, he isn’t allowed visitors or phone calls, so we haven’t been able to have that conversation.

At the center of all of this are real people dealing with real trauma, especially the Yates family. That’s what matters most.

Our connection with Brady was rooted in trying to support growth and mental health, which makes this even harder to sit with.

We’re still processing all of this. We’re trying to move forward in a way that’s honest and doesn’t pretend any of this is okay.”
