A preliminary trial date has been set for former Turnstile guitarist Brady Ebert. Earlier this year, Ebert was involved in an altercation with William Yates, the 79-year-old father of Turnstile vocalist Brendan Yates. That March 29th altercation turned physical, with Ebert being accused of running over William in a car, leaving him with a severely broken leg.

The incident is said to have followed a heated verbal exchange between the pair that witnesses claim was initiated by Ebert. Further details on that altercation that led to Ebert‘s arrest can be found in this police report.

Originally charged with attempted second-degree murder and first-degree assault for the incident, Ebert‘s charges were upgraded this past April to a charge of attempted first-degree murder. If found guilty of that charge, Ebert could face a maximum sentence of 30 years.

Lambgoat report that Ebert‘s trial on the matter is now set to begin on October 05th in Rockville, MD.

Ebert has previously been quoted as saying he acted in “pure self defense” over the incident. Ebert was ousted from Turnstile back in 2022, with the split being notably bitter.
