Fledgling hardcore band Experience issued a statement today, April 06th, confirming they intend to forge ahead with their debut release, “Stay Present“. That decision was made despite the recent arrest of their guitarist Brady Ebert for second-degree attempted murder and more. Speaking via social media, Experience collectively stated:
“We want to address what’s been circulating this week.
What happened involving Brady is serious and deeply upsetting. Our hearts are with everyone affected. We don’t take any of this lightly.
At the same time, we’ve made the decision to continue moving forward with our release.
Our 12 song EP Stay Present was built around a simple idea facing what’s in front of you without running from it.
The record is split into four parts called movements
Reaction is impulse fast immediate
Control is where space shows up and decisions take over
Weight is pressure carried without noise
Awareness is clarity while still in motionEvery song lives in the present tense. No past no future just choices happening in real time. There’s no villain in this record. The struggle is distraction. The goal is awareness.
We’re still releasing the project as planned this June.
Experience“
Ebert, formerly of melodic hardcore stars Turnstile, announced his involvement in Experience this past March, just weeks after he was acrimoniously fired from The S.E.T.. The latter outfit wound up ousting Ebert before even issuing their debut release, citing his “ridiculous comments and behavior towards the members of our band and community.”
Word broke this past week that Ebert was arrested on March 29th, 2026 on charges of second-degree attempted murder and first-degree assault for a disturbing incident involving the elderly father of Ebert‘s ex-Turnstile bandmate, vocalist Brendan Yates. Ebert was denied bail on April 02nd and remains in custody.
While Experience has yet to release any music officially, it would appear that they intend to keep Ebert‘s contributions to this upcoming release intact. The band’s Bobby Faithful has been active in the comments of the below post for today’s statement, clarifying Ebert‘s involvement. Faithful stated that not all guitar parts were written by Ebert, stating: “Bobby, Zach and Brady wrote a majority of the guitar riffs in addition to other guest appearances on the album.”
In a separate comment, Faithful confirmed that Ebert‘s parts were recorded ahead of the above-mentioned incident and his current incarceration.
