Blackened death metal supergroup Sinsaenum‘s third album “In Devastation” will be making its way out on August 08th through earMUSIC. This new outing is the band’s first since the passing of their drummer Joey Jordison (ex-Slipknot, etc.) back in 2021. As such, the record serves as a tribute to both him, and the late father of Sinsaenum guitarist/founder Frédéric Leclercq (ex-DragonForce, etc.). Leclercq went on to say of that:
“I was devastated, hence the title of this album. But we knew we had to carry on. This record is our tribute to my father, to Joey, and to anyone who’s ever had to find strength in their darkest moments.”
A video for the title track was directed by Mathieu Ezan and has premiered online below. Andre Joyzi, who previously served as Jordison‘s tech, has assumed the drumming duties in the band, which also features current and former members of Mayhem, Dååth, Seth, Chimaira and more.
