Falling In Reverse vocalist Ronnie Radke looks to have taken some of his numerous detractors out on the road with him in digital form. This past Sunday (August 18th) served as the kickoff date of the latest leg of his band’s ‘Popular Monstour‘ at The Ford Amphitheater in Nampa, ID.
That show saw him and his bandmates performing “Game Over” in front of a video screen filled with assorted clips taken from social media platform TikTok. Those paying attention to the video screens behind the group likely noticed that seemingly the majority of the videos being shown had what appear to be disparaging comments for Radke.
It seems there was a grander scheme at play though, as the partial performance of said track served as a segue into the song “Just Like You“, which opens with the lyrics “I am aware that I am an a**hole. I really don’t care about all of that though.”
Radke has remained a polarizing figure in the music industry for a number of years now, with his frequent clashes on social media with his haters, other musicians (Sanguisugabogg, Chris Motionless, Sebastian Bach, etc.) and even publications/bloggers serving up substantial heat.
Outside of that, his divisive opinions on transgender identity, etc. have seen him banned by several social media networks. His allegedly problematic past also doesn’t sit well with some. Radke has taken the aforementioned bannings in stride, touting them as badges of honor. Speaking on social media this past Saturday, August 17th, Radke stated on X:
“shadow banned on x, un searchable, banned 3 times on insta, 2 times on tik tok,
Uk sold out in 24 hours dropped unorthodox cinematic narration song that goes to 1 million today. going on the biggest us headlining tour in my scene this year and last. and some of yall mad af. good. hahahaha day 1 of the popular monster starts tomorrow this shits crazy”
Responding to the below post on X that pointed out the incorporation of the TikTok’s from his critics at yesterday’s show, Radke replied: “Oh it’s gonna get even worse. lmao”
Like I’m sorry but imagine being these people and now having like atleast 100 thousand people see you and laugh at you in real time because Ronnie Radke was in charge of the production ?? pic.twitter.com/BN8jMKuaL5
