Seth Binzer, aka Shifty Shellshock of platinum-certified nü-metal outfit Crazy Town, has sadly passed away. Shellshock was found dead yesterday, June 24th at his Los Angeles, CA residence. An investigation into the cause of his death is currently underway.
Binzer was 49-years-old at the time of his passing and had a turbulent career that involved numerous highly publicized battles with substance abuse. Unfortunately those struggles seemingly resurfaced last year, with the band’s last higher profile tour ending in a bloody backstage brawl, soon followed by a DUI arrest for Binzer.
In what may be one of his final recorded works, Shellshock discussed his battles with addiction in a collaboration with We Are Pigs titled “Faded“.
