Multi-platinum hard rockers Breaking Benjamin recently landed their first RIAA certification since 2022. The band’s 2024 single “Awaken” has newly hit gold status, having been handed down that milestone on September 04th. That song was launched in October of 2024, with eventual plans for it to appear on their as-yet unannounced seventh studio album.

Outside of traditional physical/digital sales, the certifications factor in digital streams/downloads with 10 permanent track downloads counting as 1 unit and 1500 on-demand audio/video streams from a particular album also counting as as a unit. 150 streams of a song also equate to a track-equivalent unit.
