Limp Bizkit were joined onstage by various members of the cast of ‘Super Troopers‘ last night, July 18th. The nü-metal icons’ set was invaded by members of the Broken Lizard comedy troupe, all appearing in-character, for a set-closing performance of “Break Stuff“. Ahead of that, both the band and the cast played up the pairing, with the Super Troopers barging onstage to initially enforce a ‘noise complaint’ against Bizkit. However, things soon got out of hand. That all took place during Bizkit‘s time at Creed‘s ‘Summer Of ’99 And Beyond Festival‘, which was held at the Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre in Tinley Park, IL. Footage has emerged online below.
While the cast of ‘Super Troopers‘ were out promoting the upcoming August 07th opening of the third film in that franchise, Bizkit‘s participation in the aforementioned festival has a story of its own too. The band had previously intensely feuded with Creed decades ago, with this booking seemingly being the public indication of that hatchet officially being buried for good.
Earlier this month, Limp Bizkit had another guest from the world of comedy join them onstage, bringing out Canadian comedian/actor/musician, etc. Tom Green for a performance of “Rollin’ (Air Raid Vehicle)“.
