Diamond-certified hard rockers Creed will be hosting their third annual ‘Summer Of ’99 And Beyond‘ festival at the Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre in Tinley Park, IL on July 18th and 19th. Once again spotlighting the artists who were reigning over the charts during the late 90s and early 2000s, next year’s edition of the festival will see a past beef formally put to rest, as nü-metal kingpins Limp Bizkit will be joining the bill.

Limp Bizkit and Creed first clashed back in 2000 while sharing the bill together at a festival show in New York. Durst excoriated Creed‘s vocalist Scott Stapp onstage during Bizkit‘s set at that event, stating ahead of “Break Stuff“:

“I want to dedicate this next song to the lead singer of Creed. That guy’s an egomaniac, he’s a f*cking punk and he’s backstage right now acting like f*cking Michael Jackson. F*ck that motherfucker!”

As the feud progressed, Durst later went on to say of Creed and Stapp in an interview:

“For one thing, the guy is out of his mind. The guy thinks he’s a better human than everybody. You walk by his dressing room and his people look at you and go, ‘You do not approach the band, you do not talk to the band, you do not look at the band.’”

Creed would go on to accuse Durst of being late to playing the aforementioned festival over being unhappy of Limp Bizkit‘s billing on the event (Creed were headlining, billed over Ozzy Osbourne, Stone Temple Pilots & Limp Bizkit.) Creed would also later take potshots at Durst over his infamous feud with Taproot. Ultimately, as tensions continued to boil, Creed frontman Scott Stapp went on to challenge Durst to a boxing match. Durst however declined to take part, saying he was too busy with touring and the beef largely faded from the public eye.

Next year’s edition of Creed‘s festival will seeming rectify those past grievances, as Limp Bizkit will headline the opening date, while Creed will close out the second show. A cavalcade of stars past and present will be performing as well, with the following daily lineups confirmed:

Saturday, July 18th:

Limp Bizkit
Cypress Hill
Sevendust
Kittie
Puddle Of Mudd
Magnolia Park
The Pretty Wild
Slay Squad

Sunday, July 19th:
