Colombian crossover band Poison The Preacher nabbed a guest spot from Jem Siow, vocalist of Australian hardcore band SPEED, on their new track “Things I Want“. That song is earmarked for inclusion on Poison The Preacher‘s forthcoming new EP of the same name, which they will be dropping on July 17th on Seek And Strike.
Poison The Preacher vocalist Juan Pablo Carrera had the following to share about how this collab came about:
“We first met SPEED when we played with them on their Latin American tour. I’ve stayed in touch with Jem and this collaboration organically happened from there. He really loved our live performance and was really psyched with us. The day after the show we hung out all day through Bogotá, showing them around and whatnot.
And that’s when Jem told me he wanted to do the collab, he asked me if we could still make it happen when he gets back from tour, and it was honestly on the edge of being too late, but we managed to make it work because we love speed and after meeting them we love the guys and we became good friends so it was logical to make this collab asap.”
