Fledgling British-American metal supergroup Spitting Glass played their biggest set to date over the weekend, appearing briefly onstage at this year’s ‘Download Festival‘ in Donington, UK. Last week saw the band hit the road for their first round of proper touring, playing a handful of clubs in addition to the aforementioned annual festival. Fans of deathcore should already be well versed with the group’s frontman Joe Badolato of Fit For An Autopsy fame.
Those who’ve dug deep into the forbidden lore of rising alternative metal faction Sleep Token may also recognize the talents of guitarist David Ball, who according various internet sleuths, is better known as bassist III in that masked British outfit. Guitarist Chris Keepin (Osiah, Viscera), bassist Reuben Bescoby (A Night In The Abyss), and drummer Danny Yates (Osiah, Viscera, etc.) complete the lineup of Spitting Glass.
Below you can find some fan-filmed footage from this initial live run, as well as their two songs to be released thus far, “1HP” and “Full Send“. The latter boasts a guest spot from Rhys Griffiths of Mourn. However, that isn’t Griffiths‘ only credit, as like Ball, he too has been identified by fans as hailing from the Sleep Token camp, reportedly performing as guitarist/vocalist IV.
