When vocalist John Robert Centorrino exited Japanese metalcore band Crystal Lake this past March, the seemingly agreed upon narrative shared by both parties via separate statements indicated that Centorrino‘s departure was undertaken in a bid to spend more time with his young child. However, posts and commentary newly shared on the Facebook page of Centorrino by the man himself indicate that was only part of the decision to leave.

Earlier today, June 07th, Centorrino began spilling the tea with a post that said, “Going to tell my Crystal Lake story because I think you all deserve to know the truth of who they really are. Gathering all the information to show the truth and not just talk it. Its time someone stood up to them. I will be that person. Be patient while I put this together.”

A comment shared by Centorrino in that thread gave a strong hint at what he will soon be unveiling about the band however, it read as follows:

“you would have to focus on Parenthood too if the people you worked for weren’t paying you enough money to actually keep your lights on, missing your kid grow up. Borrowing money from your grandparents to pay bills. But Crystal Lake wants to tour 10 months out of the year. And then one person keeps all the money.”

Crystal Lake have yet to find a permanent replacement for Centorrino, most recently enlisting Myke Terry of Volumes/Fire From The Gods fame to fill-in for half of their North American touring.
