Zakk Wylde‘s ‘Berzerkus‘ festival is set to take over two cities in back-to-back shows this August. This summer’s festivities will see groove metal juggernauts Lamb Of God and Wylde‘s own hard rock outfit Black Label Society sharing the headlining duties.
Additional performers on the bill include sludge metal supergroup Down, crossover legends Suicidal Tendencies, Wylde‘s own Black Sabbath covers outfit Zakk Sabbath and the Black Label Society-affiliated Dark Chapel. Dates include:
08/28 Scranton, PA – The Pavilion at Montage Mountain
08/29 Wantagh, NY – Northwell at Jones Beach Theater
The Scranton stop will also sport a trio of cover bands, including Fan Halen, Bonfire and Use Your Illusion — all of which should be pretty obvious tributes by their respective namesakes. Further happenings planned around both dates include a car show, a battle of the bands (Scranton only), a strong man competition, a hot sauce eating competition, a ride for late Pantera guitarist Dimebag Darrell Abbott, and more.
Ticket presales will launch today, May 05th at 12:00pm EST / 09:00am PST. The general onsale and VIP tickets will go up this Friday, May 08th, at 10:00am EST / 07:00am PST.
